I have a VNS-L21 (P9 Lite 2016) from Colombia, it worked fine but I started to get more and more ads over the time so I decided to unlock the bootloader and root it, and I did it, after almost a year of working just fine, the phone start to restart by itself with no reason around 1 or 2 days per month, they were not scheduled or something.
Red light blinks, and screen flashes with "HONOR powered by Android" screen if I disconnect battery and just plug to usb. Battery is not a problem, before repair it had about 70%, and now it's voltage is around 4,05V.

Boot to Recovery Mode and Wipe Cache Partition. Once your phone vibrates, let go of the Power button, but still hold the other buttons until Android System Recovery screen appears. Use the “Volume Down” button, go to “wipe cache partition” and press on the Power button to select it. Once the cache partition is cleared, the Huawei P9
“Restart the Huawei P9 (hold the “Power” button and the “Home” button at the same time for 7 seconds until the phone turns off and vibrates). Go to Settings, open the Application manager and then go to the Camera app. Select on Force stop, clear data and clear cache. Restart your phone again”. That worked for me. Good luck.
