There never was a 1.9 TDI (Turbo Direct Injection) T4, the only 1.9 diesel engines used in the T4 were the 1X up to 1996 and the ABL from 96 up to mid 2003 and these were both indirect injection diesel engines so known as a 1.9D (1X) or 1.9TD (ABL) not 1.9 TDI. The first 1.9 TDI Transporter was the 2003 T5 with the AXB and AXC engines.

T4 Trooper 1993. I cannot source Aux belts for my 1993 T4 2.4 diesel camper (Autosleeper Trooper). They seem to have been discontinued. Have used a number of suppliers and they have sent me belts for an AAB engine which are either too thick or don’t solve the problem. If I lock the wheel, the belt screeches and snaps.
