The claimed fuel consumption figures for the Land Rover Defender PHEV: 2.8 L/100 km (based on the WLTP cycle) and 3.3 L/100 km (based on the NEDC standard) also seemed rather ambitious, but after driving the P400e for a considerable amount of time (which included the performance testing), we saw indicated figures in the low 7L/100 km range.

The Land Rover Defender P400e PHEV will be offered in 90 and 110 trims. It gets a 2.0-litre motor which is coupled with an electric motor. It offers an impressive claimed fuel economy of 30.30 kmpl. The Land Rover short wheelbase Defender 90 has finally arrived. We knew that it was in the making and offers better manoeuvrability and breakover
Thanks to the hybrid unit, the electrified Defender offers reduced running costs and strong performance, second only to the top-of-the-range Defender V8. Combined, the plug-in Defender produces 398bhp and a whopping 640Nm of torque, which allows the 2.6-tonne car to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 5.6 seconds.
